The Kindness We Give Always Finds Its Way Back

This past weekend, I decided to take myself out for a drink and some dinner. Nothing special, just a quiet night to unwind. But, as life often proves, the best moments happen when we least expect them.
I ended up sitting next to a couple at the bar, and before I knew it, what I thought would have been a few minutes of small talk, turned into a deep 2 hour conversation. We talked about everything—life, dreams, even the little things that make us who we are. The woman and I connected instantly, especially when we realized we had something in common: we were both business owners.
I told her about Hidden Hug, how I recently launched it, and why I started it—to spread kindness in a world that sometimes forgets how much we need it. She didn’t just listen; she encouraged me. With such genuine warmth, she said, “I don’t even know you, and I’m super proud of you.” And she didn’t stop there—she kept saying how excited she was to see where I take this, how she’d be following along, and how she couldn’t wait to use Hidden Hug herself. This really hit home and my heart was so full, knowing that a complete random stranger, genuinely wished me so well!
It was one of those moments that reminded me why I do this. Kindness isn’t just something we give—it’s something we receive in ways we never see coming.
At the end of the night, we hugged, shook hands, and exchanged numbers. And the next day, I couldn't help myself and sent her a Hidden Hug—with an Amazon gift card. She was so thankful, saying I had beaten her to it. That’s the magic of kindness—it’s contagious.
This experience reminded me: we never really know the impact we have on others. A kind word, a shared moment, a small encouragement—it can stick with someone long after the conversation ends.
So, if you’re reading this, consider this your sign to send a little kindness into the world today. It always finds its way back. 💛
